Srinagar:29,January (KNO) : Ridiculing and rejecting the debate over Shopian killings in assembly today, AIP supremo and MLA Lanagte Er Rasheed has called the whole debate like a match fixing and said that neither NC nor PDP is sincere in ensuring to protect the life and honor of people of Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement issued today Er Rasheed said “while masses are tired of hearing the discussions in the assembly for the want of concrete results on the ground, NC and PDP seem busy in scoring cheap points over each other. Even when Mehbooba Mufti tried to show sympathy with the families of deceased youth, she first needs to answer the quiries raised by BJP in and outside the assembly. How it is possible that Ravinder Raina calls the deceased unarmed innocents as terrorists, praises army for butchering them and demands withdrawal of FIR against the army but his coalition leader Mehbooba Mufti talks about anger in Kashmir youth. Similar is the case with Omer Abdhullah who shamelessly does not hesitate in calling stone pelters as jilted lovers. The house has collectively failed the people of state as the one point agenda of mainstream parties seems ruling Kashmiris at all costs on rotational basis”. Er Rasheed ridiculed Mehbooba Mufti’s arguments for justifying her alliance with BJP. He said “how does Mehbooba Mufti call her alliance with BJP morally legitimate by citing NC’s alliance with BJP in Vajpayee’s tenure. Does she mean that the Sheikhs and Muftis are the only dynasties who can issue fatawas about the alliances and other things being holy or unholy”. Er Rasheed added that it is not difficult for the legislators to stop killings if their hearts will truly beat for the masses. He said “If Mehbooba and Omer Abdhullah both express anger and anguish over the killings but are not able to convince forces to respect the right to live for Kashmiris, let them along with other legislators take out a march from Kashmir house New Delhi to parliament house, urging New Delhi to stop the genocide of Kashmiris. It will definitely shake the conscience of billions of people in India and elsewhere. Not only those forces would become accountable but there would be no option left with new Delhi to find out a permanent resolution to the J&K dispute”. Er Rasheed also appealed the joint Resistance Leadership to collect the donations from the masses and pay a handsome amount to the Shopian martyrs so that new Delhi doesn’t dare to fix the cost of their life worth Rs 5 lacs and a class 4th job under SRO 43.(KNO)
